Queer & Neurodivergence Affirming Therapy for College & Grad School Students

Navigating college and graduate school can be challenging, especially for students who identify as queer and/or neurodivergent.

Whether you’re managing academic pressures, social anxieties, or the stress of navigating multiple identities, our clinicians create a supportive space where you can explore your experiences without judgment. College counseling centers often are only able to offer short-term or crisis-based services, which can leave students without options for longer term care, when needed. Our therapists are able to dedicate ample time and focus to getting to know you as an individual, building a relationship, and working on longer term goals and needs.

It’s incredibly common for undergrad & grad school students to be under lots of stress and pressure, navigating the balance between productivity & other areas of life & wellbeing. Many people with undiagnosed or under-treated neurodivergence or mental health struggles may find managing everything on their plate overwhelming. It can be difficult to reach out for support, especially if you’re not sure you’ll be understood in your identity and challenges by your providers. We’re here to help make it easier.

We focus on empowering you to build resilience, develop coping strategies, and feel connected to your authentic self, de-emphasizing pathologizing and highlighting your strengths. If you’re looking for support that acknowledges the richness and complexity of your journey through higher education, the fabulous team of mental health providers at Queer Therapy Boston is here to walk alongside you.
